Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receive repair orders from the dispatcher and take cars to the stall area.
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with accuracy and efficiency in accordance with all dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction quickly and correctly and perform the repair as authorized by the customer.
• Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain all needed parts.
• Label and set aside parts as well as turn in parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Advise service advisor immediately of any changes to your schedule, e.g. if any additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed with the promised time.
• Document work you perform.
• Road-test vehicles to make sure the repair has fully addressed the customer complaint.
• Quality check work performed by you and others.
• Attend all required training classes.
• Keep abreast of current factory technical bulletins.
• Ensure that customers’ vehicles are kept clean throughout the repair or service.
• Administer all safety and housekeeping policies and procedures correctly.
• Know and follow federal, state, and local regulations governing service and repair work.
